Family-owned and -operated, Maine Sport Outfitters was founded in 1976 to provide customers with the highest-quality products, knowledgeable and personalized service, and unique experiences that foster a love for the outdoors. MSO is now one of the Northeast’s largest dealers of Trek bikes, Old Town Canoes, and outdoor footwear and apparel.
Maine Sport Outfitters came to us with an outdated WordPress site that offered extremely limited ecommerce functionality. Their goal was to streamline their web presence and reimagine their ecommerce functionality while integrating with their existing systems.
To that end we assisted with a platform migration, bringing the commercial and brand aspects of their digital presence together under a new Shopify system, including extensive work to integrate their existing Lightspeed POS and Inventory systems. Our design work included simplifying the color palette and modernizing the layout, while reorganizing content to elevate the brand’s dual priorities of ecommerce and online rental booking.
We worked closely with their operations team to rebuild a modern and forward-looking digital presence, tightly integrated with established systems, optimized for local and product SEO, and ready to grow with the business.
In a condensed time frame we were able to provide a strategic platform migration that brought Maine Sport Outfitters to a brand new site, while reorganizing their content and integrating with existing systems, setting them up for digital success in the years to come.
