POS & Inventory System for Ravenstone

A person holding a chain in front of a store display

Ravenstone sells unique jewelry, thoughtfully curated gifts, and natural wonders to statement-seeking customers, deepening their connection to the everyday magic around them.

Background

When Ravenstone transitioned from a successful Etsy shop to a full-fledged brick-and-mortar store in Lynn, Massachusetts, they faced the challenge of managing inventory that was not initially designed for retail operations.

The Solution

We identified gaps in their inventory and SKU systems, ensured proper mapping and grouping of products, created barcode templates, and developed in-store labeling to accommodate their diverse range of unique gems. Setting up Shopify POS and guiding the owners through the initial weeks of their soft launch was a crucial part of establishing a smooth and seamless store experience.

The Outcome

The outcome was a streamlined and efficient inventory management system implemented for Ravenstone's brick-and-mortar store, in time for their opening.

The Takeaway

The Portland Museum of Art needed someone to look at a complex, fragmented POS system holistically — multiple softwares, multiple touchpoints, no unified view. First Pier ran a comprehensive interview process with all stakeholders, incorporated years of customer feedback, and delivered a solution that gave the museum a bird's-eye view of their entire visitor operations. Connectivity issues decreased. Staff and visitor experience improved. And months after the project ended, First Pier was still following up. That's what the director remembered most.
