Versa Gripps was a family-owned business in Sorrento, Maine, that made a seriously strong impact on the world of working out—they’re the inventors of weightlifting straps that are considered the best in the industry by professional bodybuilders and competitive weightlifters.
When we met them, Versa Gripps had been selling their product online for more than a decade but were feeling the constraints of their DIY website. They felt their site was behind the times. It was on less-than-optimal hosting—clunky and sparse without clear messaging. Specifically, Versa Gripps was limited in their ability to add basic functionality like tracking pixels for marketing attribution.
Because Versa Gripps had never had a fully formed brand guide, we started the project with a focused brand expansion that included the addition of color, pattern, and logo variations to their existing visual identity. We then took that expanded identity and built out a performant, focused, and fleshed-out Shopify site.
Because Versa Gripps had a narrow catalog, every PDP acted as a landing page and brand experience, with specific attention paid to product differentiation.
In nine weeks, we were able to fully migrate Versa Gripps’s past customers and orders and build out a user experience that fully expressed their position as a top brand in the weightlifting space, allowing them to unveil their new expanded brand and site for an important marketing event.
